  Scholarships - $3.0 million/year

In the typical year, the Yeshiva awards an average of $3 million in scholarships to
students attending the Preschool and K-12 schools. Scholarship gifts in all amounts are much needed and appreciated. For a minimum gift of $5,000/year (or $100,000 to endow), however, donors can establish named Scholarships supporting the Yeshiva studies of one or more students each year.

Program Support - $500,000/year
Other Yeshiva programs would benefit from program support outside the normal tuition/scholarship system.

• Adult Education Program
• Degree Completion Program
• Summer Day Camp
• Special Needs Children Program and Resource Rooms
• Exceptional Students Enrichment Programs
• Extra-Curricular Enrichment Fund
• High School Community "Chesed" Programs

  Capital Needs
A number of Yeshiva Beth Yehudah facilities will require updating and/or renovation during the period for which we are now planning and fundraising. Some of these needs include:

  Boys Gymnasium
Update the existing Boys School gym with improved lighting and a modern play surface. This upgrading would make the Boys School Gym more equivalent to the new Meer Family Gymnasium on the Girls School campus.

  Elementary School Playgrounds
Update the elementary school playgrounds with modern play equipment and surfaces including rubber mats beneath swings and climbing equipment.

  Media Centers (2)
Renovate existing spaces within the Boys and Girls School buildings as modern media centers with the latest multimedia and computer resources as well as traditional printed materials and attractive quiet spaces for reading and study.

  Auditorium/Multi Purpose Room
Renovate existing spaces within the Boys and Girls School buildings as modern media centers with the latest multimedia and computer resources as well as traditional printed materials and attractive quiet spaces for reading and study.

  Longer Term Needs
To assure the Yeshiva of a bright future through good times and bad, endowment building is an important goal of the campaign. In addition to the Scholarship and Program Endowments discussed earlier, general endowments will also be created benefiting:

  • Yeshiva Beth Yehudah
• Boys School
• Girls School
• (Girls) High School
• Program Chairs in Jewish History and other key areas of study.

  Donor Recognition
Yeshiva Beth Yehudah is committed to publicly recognizing and honoring the generous people and organizations that support our work. As a part of this commitment, all donors who do not specifically request anonymity are listed in the Yeshiva’s annual donor honor role. For higher level gifts to this campaign, however, some truly extraordinary giving and donor recognition opportunities are available including inclusion on a permanent donor recognition device at the schools as well as opportunities to sponsor (for fixed periods of time) YBY programs and initiatives or to name schools, facilities, programs or scholarship funds in response to capital or endowment gifts. A complete list of these exceptional giving opportunities is available from the Yeshiva Beth Yehudah office.
